Coppell is a very difficult place to take pictures. There is no access to the field for any jumping, pole vault or high jump events. Plus, I never saw where the shot and discus were held. I  wish I could have included more events and pics like last year when I had far more access.

I’ve been out of town or otherwise very busy. Sorry for the late posting, but late (I hope) is better than never. I have also taken video and hope to edit (I can’t see our runners go by and not holler for them!) both sound and action and post some soon.

Here were some highlights of the meet..

1) Jeramey Dockery continued his hot streak by breaking his own FMHS record in the discus with a toss of 150′ 6.5″.  (I was hoping to see a school record and I did!)
2) Curtis Patton improved on his #5 all-time with a :59.14 in the 800 meters.
3) Michael Allen tied #4 all time in the pole vault with a jump of 10′ 6″
4 Jasmine Ware #2 all time with a triple jump of 34′ 8.75″ and #5 all time in the 100M with a dash of 12.94.
5) Clara Poston improved her #3 3200M with a run of 11:59.14.
6) Kristin Moore improved her #4 3200M with a run of 12:00.14.

There aren’t as many pictures as usual due to the very cloudy conditions. Plus, many of the events were completed at or after dark. Only the best cameras can shoot action shots well at night.

Congratulations to all athletes and especially the Junior Varsity boys for placing first overall.

This Thursday the varsity girls and boys will be running at the Mustang Relays. Junior Varsity will have the week off and will return back to action at the Marcus Invitational
